ASSAR Declares 3.0 Sen Interim Dividend For FY2025

KUCHING, Jan 17 (Bernama) -- Amanah Saham Sarawak (ASSAR) has declared an interim dividend of 3.0 sen per unit for the financial year ending June 30, 2025 (FY2025).

The announcement was made by Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg during a ceremony held here on Friday.

"The third distribution following ASSAR's restructuring will see RM14.23 million paid to 57,653 investors, based on the remaining unit holdings as of Dec 31, 2024," said Abang Johari.

He highlighted that since the restructuring at the end of 2022, ASSAR has demonstrated consistent performance improvement.

Abang Johari also pointed out that last year, he had announced two dividend distributions for ASSAR: an interim dividend of 2.5 sen per unit, amounting to RM11.7 million, on Jan 5, 2024, and a final dividend of 3.5 sen per unit, totalling RM16.4 million, on July 5, 2024.

"This brings ASSAR's total dividend to 6.0 sen per unit for the financial year ending June 30, 2024 (FY2024), with RM28.1 million distributed to investors."

He further noted that despite these two distributions, the Net Asset Value (NAV) per unit of ASSAR continued to rise, reaching nearly RM1.14 per unit on Dec 31, 2024—an increase of 4.9 per cent from RM1.09 in the first half of the previous financial year.
