e.l.f. Beauty Partners With Amanda Nguyen To Celebrate Women's Empowerment
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 14 (Bernama) -- Beauty brand, e.l.f. Beauty has announced a partnership with globally acclaimed activist, Nobel Peace Prize nominee, and astronaut Amanda Nguyen.
Together, they aim to celebrate the intersection of beauty, dreams, and empowerment, aligning with e.l.f.’s mission to democratise access—to beauty and beyond, while supporting Nguyen’s vision of creating positive change, according to a statement.
Its Chief Marketing Officer, Kory Marchisotto, praised Nguyen for her fearless efforts in creating a lasting impact by disrupting norms and inspiring future generations of women and girls. She expressed excitement about partnering with Nguyen to prioritise positivity, inclusivity and accessibility, and foster it with its collective community.
Meanwhile, Nguyen also expressed her enthusiasm and said: “When I fight for survivors’ rights or reach for the stars as an astronaut, I am reminded that no dream is too big. Together, we are ensuring that the next generation knows no limits.”
Nguyen has already made a significant impact by advocating for gender-based violence survivors through her nonprofit organisation, Rise.
Now, she is pursuing her childhood dream of becoming an astronaut and is set to make history as the first Southeast Asian woman to travel to space on Blue Origin this year. She aims to use her mission to inspire and empower women and girls in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) globally.
The partnership kicks off with a new episode of Show Your(s)e.l.f., a purpose-driven film series that highlights inspirational role models who embody e.l.f.’s values of positivity, inclusivity, and accessibility. The latest episode showcases Nguyen's remarkable journey of resilience and advocacy, inspiring the next generation of changemakers.
The Show Your(s)e.l.f. film series has previously featured influential individuals such as Viktoria Modesta, Anastasia Pagonis, and Chella Man. Produced with OBERLAND, an award-winning agency, the series aims to challenge societal norms and celebrate individuality. The new episode is available on e.l.f. Cosmetics’ YouTube channel.
In addition to celebrating Nguyen's accomplishments, e.l.f. will support Rise’s initiatives, continuing her mission of equality and empowerment. Both e.l.f. and Nguyen will also participate in a landmark event at the United Nations in February 2025 for International Women and Girls in STEM Day, where they will celebrate women in STEM by bringing women astronauts to inspire the next generation of changemakers.
