FBM KLCI Futures Weaker In Early Trading

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 8 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives were lower in the early trade today.

At 9.45 am, the January 2025 contract fell by one point to 1,629.0 and February 2025 declined 2.5 points to 1,632.0, while March 2025 and June 2025 slid by 1.5 points each to 1,616.0 and 1,621.0, respectively.

Turnover stood at 890 lots, with open interest at 37,355 contracts.

After 47 minutes of trading, the benchmark FBM KLCI decreased 0.23 points to 1,629.56, compared to Tuesday's close of 1,629.79.
