FBM KLCI Futures Close Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 7 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed firmer today, reflecting gains in the underlying cash market.  

At the close, January 2025 rose 6.5 points to 1,630.0, February 2025 increased seven points to 1,634.50, March 2025 appreciated six points to 1,617.50, and June 2025 went up four points to 1,622.50.  

Turnover surged to 4,407 lots from 138 lots on Monday, while open interest widened to 40,573 contracts from 37,362 previously.  

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI declined 4.32 points or 0.26 per cent to 1,629.79 from Monday’s close of 1,625.47.
