Gold Futures End Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 2 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher on the first trading day of the year.

The spot month December 2024 contract increased to US$2,623.60 per troy ounce from Tuesday’s US$2,610.90, and January 2025 rose to US$2,633.70 compared with US$2,623.60 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, February 2025, March 2025 and April 2025 all settled unchanged at US$2,633.70 per troy ounce.

Markets were closed on Wednesday for New Year’s Day.

Trading volume added to one lot from no trading volume recorded previously, while open interest added to 17 contracts from 16 contracts previously.
