FBM KLCI Futures Close Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 31 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today, tracking the underlying cash market performance.

At the close, the December 2024 contract rose 5.5 points to 1,641.5 while January 2025 and March 2025 gained three points to 1,642.0 and 1,627.0, respectively, and the June 2025 note garnered 3.5 points to 1,632.5.  

Turnover declined to 10,744 lots from 16,639 lots on Monday, while open interest narrowed to 47,278 contracts from 64,808 contracts yesterday. 

At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI gained 4.65 points to 1,642.33, compared with Monday’s close of 1,637.68, marking a six-day winning streak.
