Duitnow Is Accessible From Sarawak’s S Pay Global

KUCHING, Dec 4 (Bernama) -- S Pay Global, the Sarawak government’s e-wallet application, has expanded its functions by linking with DuitNow  QR after partnering with Payments Network Malaysia (PayNet).

Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA) general manager Datuk Anderson Tiong Ing Heng said the initiative allows S Pay Global to scan and accept transactions from other DuitNow e-wallets.

“DuitNow e-wallet applications can also scan and perform transactions with merchants using S Pay Global.

“This new function allows for greater connectivity and enables smoother business transactions for Sarawkians,” he said in a statement today.

Tiong said the initiative aligns with the Sarawak Digital Economy Blueprint 2030, which focuses on modernising the state’s financial infrastructure.

SiliconNet Technologies Sdn Bhd Hii Saan Chieng said that enabling DuitNow functionality within S Pay Global sets up a platform that allows users to have easy access to financial transactions.

PayNet commercial division senior director Azrul Fakhzan Mainor said that by integrating with DuitNow QR, Sarawakians will be more connected to the global payment system, thus accelerating the flow of commerce.

“Since DuitNow QR operates with a global payment network, we will see more cross-border transactions in Sarawak,” he added.

Azrul said merchants are encouraged to join the S Pay Global network and can call 082-22 45 99 for more information.
