Gold Futures Close Lower 

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 28 (Bernama) -- The gold futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower today amid subdued demand, despite positive momentum in the United States COMEX gold market.

Spot month November 2024 decreased to US$2,646.40 per troy ounce from US$2,651.60 per troy ounce yesterday.

Contracts for December 2024, January 2025, February 2025, and April 2025 all settled lower at US$2,659.30 per troy ounce against US$2,664.50 previously.

Trading volume fell to six lots compared to seven lots on Wednesday, while open interest was unchanged at 23 contracts.

According to the London Bullion Market Association’s afternoon fix on Nov 27, the price of physical gold stood at US$2,640.85 per troy ounce.
