TransNusa Partners With Three Malaysian Medical Centres For Passenger Healthcare

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 23 (Bernama) -- Indonesian airline, PT TransNusa Aviation Mandiri (TransNusa) has signed agreements with Sunway Medical Centre and Asia OneHealthCare to provide its passengers with additional healthcare options and expand its operations into the medical tourism industry.

In a statement today, the airline said the agreement allows its passengers to enjoy additional privileges in renowned medical centres, namely the Sunway Medical Centre, and two medical centres owned by Asia OneHealthCare, namely Subang Jaya Medical Centre and Ara Damansara Medical Centre.

TransNusa group chief executive officer Datuk Bernard Francis said the agreements provide TransNusa passengers access to specialised and customised healthcare packages.

According to the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council, Indonesia is the highest contributor to Malaysia’s medical tourism sector, accounting for nearly 70-80 per cent of the total number of health tourists in Malaysia last year.

Francis said TransNusa’s passengers could also enjoy the Signature Elite Health Screening Package, at a discounted price of RM750 (original price: RM1,500) at Sunway Medical Centre.

“In addition to the discount, passengers will also be able to enjoy free seat upgrades. To be eligible for the package, our passengers will need to show their boarding passes when registering for the package at the Sunway Medical Centre.

“Passengers will also be able to enjoy a 20 per cent discount for all medical check-ups at Subang Jaya Medical Centre and Ara Damansara Medical Centre,” he said.

He added that passengers will also be able to enjoy free airport transfers from the Subang Airport to the Subang Jaya Medical Centre and Ara Damansara Medical Centre.
