FBM KLCI Futures Ends Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 10 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher on Thursday, tracking the underlying cash market’s performance. 

Spot month October 2024 gained 10.5 points to 1,646.0, November 2024 rose 10.0 points to 1,648.5, December 2024 widened 9.5 points to 1,651.5 and March 2025 added 11.0 points to 1,641.0. 

Turnover increased to 7,729 lots from 5,755 on Wednesday, while open interest expanded to 47,986 contracts from 46,733 previously.            

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI notched up 6.03 points, or 0.36 per cent, to 1,640.94 from Wednesday’s close of 1,634.91.
