Gold Futures End higher Amid Stronger USD

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 26 (Bernama) -- The gold futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives stayed higher today amid a stronger US dollar and rising United States Treasury yields.

The September 2024 gold futures contract rose to US$2,671.50 per troy ounce, up from US$2,658.50 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the October 2024, November 2024, December 2024, February 2025 and April 2025 contracts all settled higher at US$2,684.70 per troy ounce, compared with US$2,671.50 previously.

Trading volume decreased to 17 lots from 35 lots yesterday while open interest narrowed to 37 contracts from 80 contracts previously.

According to the London Bullion Market Association’s afternoon fix on September 25, the price of physical stood at US$2,661.45 per troy ounce.
