FBM KLCI Futures End Higher, Tracking Cash Market's Performance

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 20 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today, in line with the performance of the underlying cash market. 

Spot month September 2024 jumped 10.0 points to 1,674.0, October 2024 and March 2025 advanced 9.5 points to 1,676.0 and 1,667.0, respectively, while December 2024 went up by 8.5 points to 1,680.0. 

Turnover swelled to 11,590 lots from 7,358 lots on Thursday, while open interest was higher at 57,254 contracts from 50,741 contracts yesterday.  

The FBM KLCI rose by 3.17 points, or 0.19 per cent, to 1,668.82 at the close from Thursday's close of 1,665.65.
