Fahmi Receives Courtesy Call From Malaysia's Ambassador To Lebanon

KUALA LUMPUR, July 1 (Bernama) -- Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil today received a courtesy call from Malaysia's Ambassador to Lebanon, Anwar Udzir.

In a Facebook post, Fahmi said the meeting was important to further strengthen working ties, exchange views and discuss current developments involving Malaysia's interests at the international level.

“His Excellency Anwar Udzir received his letter of appointment as Malaysia's Ambassador to Lebanon from His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, on May 18, 2026.

“I wish him all the best in carrying out his duties and hope he will be granted every success in representing Malaysia in Lebanon,” he said.

Fahmi said he first got to know Anwar when the diplomat and his team assisted in organising the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity Ministerial Meeting in Tokyo, Japan, last year.
