1.INDONESIA PLEDGES NO JOB CUTS AS SOES SHRINK TO 250 -- ANTARA

The Indonesian government has pledged that its plan to reduce the number of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) to between 250 and 300 entities will not lead to layoffs of employees from dissolved companies.

2.POLICE ARREST DOZENS IN ANTI-GOVERNMENT PROTEST IN SURABAYA -- JAKARTA POST

The National Police have arrested dozens of protesters following a rally against President Prabowo Subianto's policies in Surabaya, East Java, a rights group said on Saturday.

MYANMAR

1.DAMAGED RELIGIOUS SITES UNDERGO RESTORATION -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR

About 175 ancient pagodas, stupas, temples and religious buildings damaged by the earthquake in March 2025 have been fully repaired. A total of 1,799  religious structures were damaged by the earthquake.

2.SMALL BUSINESS TO ADOPT DIGITAL ROUTE -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR

Micro, small and medium enterprises have been urged to embrace digital  transformation to modernise their operations. It is also in line with Myanmar’s Digital Economy 2030-2031 agenda.

1.RESCUE TEAM HEADING TO EARTHQUAKE-HIT VENEZUELA -- VIETNAMPLUS

A 41-member search-and-rescue team is heading to Venezuela, which has been hit by major earthquakes. The team will support rescue and emergency response operations and post-disaster recovery efforts.

2.NATIONAL PROPERTY CODE TO BE INTRODUCED -- VIETNAMPLUS

Vietnam will launch a national housing and real estate market information system on July 1. A unique identification code will be assigned to every property to improve market transparency and management, and curb speculation.
