Perlis: Consumers Make Savings On Daily Essentials Via MADANI Rahmah Sale
KANGAR, June 25 (Bernama) -- Consumers are taking advantage of the MADANI Rahmah Sale to obtain daily necessities at lower prices compared to the market during the 2026 Father's Day celebration at the state level in Perlis, held in the compound of the Bangunan Persekutuan here today.
Civil servant Fiffy Haiza Abdul Rashid, 42, said the price differences offered at the sale allowed consumers to save money and reduce their burden of family expenses. Among the items she bought today were sugar, cooking oil, eggs, rice and dishwashing liquid.
The mother of three said that sales like these made it easier for consumers, including working individuals like herself, to buy essential items at that location today.
"Programmes like these really help and make it easier for us to buy necessities with available options at lower prices compared to outside," she said when met by Bernama during the sales event today.
Meanwhile, housewife Siti Khalijah Zakaria, 47, said that the sale was one of her options to get household necessities at more affordable prices, and today she took the opportunity to buy cooking oil, rice, chicken and other cooking ingredients.
"I usually buy items such as rice, cooking oil and chicken, as well as other cooking ingredients for my family's needs when visiting the MADANI Rahmah Sale.
"The lower prices offered allow consumers to buy more items in one purchase compared to the usual market prices," said the mother of two, adding that she hoped the government's initiative would continue yearly.
Meanwhile, Perlis Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) director Rohaida Hassan said the MADANI Rahmah Sales Programme (PJRM) in the state has benefitted 139,194 users via the organisation of 296 sales programmess this year as of June 21.
She added that out of the total number of programmes implementated, 226 were mobile sales programmes, followed by 58 on-site, eight off-site, three PJRM@Campus and one PJRM@Market.
