Boy Dies After Being Hit By SUV In Rembau

REMBAU, June 10 (Bernama) -- A nine-year-old boy was killed after being struck by a sport utility vehicle (SUV) while walking along KM1 of Jalan Program Perumahan Rakyat Termiskin (PPRT) Legong Ulu in Kota here today.

Acting Rembau police chief DSP Azmi Ali said that in the incident, which occurred at about 5.30 pm, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene after sustaining severe head injuries.

“The body was taken to the Forensic Unit of Rembau Hospital for a post-mortem examination, while the driver did not sustain any injuries,” he said in a statement tonight.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
