Warning Of Thunderstorms In Five States, KL, Labuan Until Midnight

KUALA LUMPUR, June 9 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in five states and the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Labuan until 12 midnight tonight.

MetMalaysia in a statement today announced that the bad weather is expected to affect the entire Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Labuan, as well as several districts in Pahang (Raub, Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Bera, Pekan and Rompin).

In Selangor, the warning was also issued in the Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Petaling and Hulu Langat areas, while in Johor, the areas affected are Batu Pahat and Pontian.

For Sabah, the same weather is forecast to occur in the Interior (Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Keningau and Tambunan), the West Coast (Ranau), Tawau (Lahad Datu) and Sandakan (Tongod, Telupid and Kinabatangan).

Meanwhile in Sarawak, the affected areas are Serian, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei (Pakan and Julau), Sibu (Kanowit), Bintulu (Bintulu and Sebauh), Miri and Limbang.
