Indonesian Band Perunggu Lights Up Kuala Lumpur Showcase

KUALA LUMPUR, June 9 (Bernama) -- Indonesian indie band Perunggu delivered a deeply emotive performance for Malaysian fans at their ‘Perunggu X Biru Baru Showcase Live’ at Zepp Kuala Lumpur on Sunday night.

The night opened with a set by Biru Baru, who set the tone with a dynamic performance complemented by striking stage visuals.

The duo, comprising Goldan and Tata, impressed with their confident stage presence and polished showmanship, despite it being their first performance in Malaysia.

Performing tracks including several of their signature numbers, such as ‘Kita Cari Waktu Lain’, ‘Kita Harus Selamatkan Diri’, ‘Hitung Mundur’ and ‘Kalah Lagi’, they quickly won over the audience, maintaining firm control of the stage and building momentum for the headlining act.

When Perunggu came on stage, the atmosphere intensified as the crowd erupted in cheers.

The band’s frontman Maul Ibrahim led the set with ease, powering through fan favourites including ‘Haru Paling Biru’, ‘Ini Abadi’, ‘Gemilang’ and ‘33x’, which were met with loud sing-alongs that filled the venue.

Backed by the rest of the band, the performance carried a raw energy that effectively shook the hall from start to finish.

It was a memorable showcase for the indie band, underscoring their growing regional appeal and strong fan base beyond their home country.
