Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Five States, Labuan Until 1 Am

KUALA LUMPUR, May 29 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds expected to affect five states and Labuan until 1 am on Saturday. 

In a statement tonight, MetMalaysia said the affected areas are Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu, Marang, Dungun and Kemaman in Terengganu; Lipis, Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Kuantan, Bera, Pekan and Rompin (Pahang);

Segamat (Johor); Simunjan, Pusa, Betong, Sarikei, Pakan, Julau, Sibu, Kapit, Song, Tatau, Subis, Beluru, Miri and Marudi (Sarawak); as well as Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Nabawan, Papar, Tawau and Tongod (Sabah).

The public, particularly residents in the affected areas, are advised to keep abreast of the latest weather developments through MetMalaysia's official website, social media platforms and the myCuaca application for the latest and verified information.
