RAMALLAH, May 24 (Bernama-WAFA) -- The Palestinian Cabinet warned of the serious and rapidly worsening humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip as a result of the deliberate reduction in the entry of food aid and the restrictions imposed by the Israeli occupation on the entry of fuel and medical supplies.

According to the Palestinian news agency, WAFA, the Cabinet stressed that the ongoing bombardment and continuous forced displacement operations are forcing thousands of families to be forcibly displaced under harsh conditions lacking the minimum necessities of life.

The Cabinet called on the international community, the United Nations, and the mediating and guarantor parties to take urgent action and pressure the occupation authorities to fully and sustainably reopen the crossings, ensure the unrestricted entry of humanitarian and medical aid and fuel, and halt the policy of starvation and forced displacement against our people in the Gaza Strip.

In the West Bank, settler terrorism is escalating, reaching a total of 42 attacks over the past five days targeting 12 Palestinian villages, it added.

These attacks included arson, vandalism of property, and the establishment of a new settlement outpost on the lands of Jurish, south of Nablus Governorate, it added.
