JOHOR BAHRU, May 22 (Bernama) -- Yayasan Sultan Ibrahim Johor (YSIJ) today donated 1,000 food baskets under its Sumbangan Kasih Aidiladha YSIJ 2026 Programme to assist the needy in the district.
According to a post on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar’s Facebook page, the donation was presented by YSIJ managing trustee Datuk Avinderjit Singh to Johor Bahru District Office senior penghulu Mohamad Ali Abdul Wahab, representing the District Officer, and Kampung Pasir Gudang headman Daud Saad, before being distributed to the recipients.
The handover ceremony, held at Dewan Terbuka Kampung Pasir Gudang Baru, saw 300 food baskets distributed to the local community. It was also attended by YSIJ chief executive officer Mohd Anizam Jamian.
Meanwhile, another 700 food baskets were distributed to Persatuan Orang Pekak Islam Johor Bahru and the Stulang community during a ceremony held at Dewan Serbaguna Majidee, Kampung Dato Sulaiman Menteri.
The donation was presented by Mohd Anizam to Johor Bahru district officer Masni Wakiman and Stulang assemblyman Andrew Chen Kah Eng.
In a separate post, YSIJ said the foundation distributed 1,000 food baskets to the Bukit Permai community in Kulai yesterday, in conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya Aidiladha.
The handover ceremony was officiated by Avinderjit and Johor Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Datuk Mohd Jafni Md Shukor, who is also the Bukit Permai assemblyman.
