KLCI Futures Close Higher

KUALA LUMPUR, May 22 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher today, in line with the underlying cash market’s performance. 

The May 2026 contract rose 7.0 points to 1,719.0 and the June 2026 contract gained 5.5 points to 1,716.5, while the September 2026 and the December 2026 contracts went up 4.5 points each to 1,697.50 and 1,698.50, respectively.

Turnover advanced to 13,089 lots from 9,772 lots on Thursday, while open interest improved to 43,086 contracts from 40,102 previously.

At 5 pm today, the FBM KLCI rose 4.31 points, or 0.25 per cent, to 1,712.67, from yesterday’s close of 1,708.36.
