BDB Infra Wins RM251.65 Mln Road Maintenance Contract From Kedah State Govt

ALOR SETAR, May 20 (Bernama) -- BDB Infra Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bina Darulaman Bhd (BDB), has secured a road maintenance contract worth RM251.65 million from the Kedah state government.

BDB group chief executive officer Che Abdul Khalid Md Din said the five-year contract involves road maintenance works in Zone 1, covering the districts of Kota Setar, Kubang Pasu, Padang Terap, and Pokok Sena.

“The contract award reflects Kedah state government's continued confidence in BDB Infra’s capability and credibility in carrying out infrastructure maintenance projects efficiently, with quality and consistency.

“The contract award is a meaningful recognition for the BDB group and BDB Infra for our experience and track record in the road maintenance and construction sector,” he said in a statement today.

He said BDB is committed to ensuring the project is carried out according to the specified standards and requirements to guarantee the safety and comfort of road users in the state.

“The contract is expected to contribute positively to the revenue and financial performance of the BDB group for the 2026-2032 financial period, while strengthening the confidence of stakeholders and investors in its growth prospects.

“The project is also expected to impact positively on the state’s infrastructure development and stimulate local economic activities through job opportunities and the local supply chain,” he said.

BDB Infra is a Grade G7 contractor with more than 50 years’ experience and track record in road maintenance and construction works, as well as quarry operations in northern Peninsular Malaysia.

BDB Infra has continuously won road maintenance contracts from the Kedah state government covering several districts since 2015.
