MUAR, May 18 (Bernama) -- NAFAS Bajakimia Sdn. Bhd. (NBKSB) has launched a guidebook on commodity crop fertilisation using PELADANG fertiliser titled ‘Buku Panduan Pembajaan Tanaman Komoditi dengan Baja PELADANG’ to help enhance the transfer of fertilisation knowledge and technology to the country’s farming community.
NBKSB chief executive officer Zalifudin Md Arshad said the book was published as an easy-to-understand practical guide to assist farmers, agropreneurs, and industry players in understanding more effective fertilisation practices to increase crop yields.
“The launch of this book is a strategic initiative by NBKSB to strengthen efforts in knowledge transfer to farmers, agropreneurs and agricultural industry players,” he said in a statement.
The guidebook was launched by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Datuk Chan Foong Hin in conjunction with the Agro MADANI Farmers Festival at NAFAS Mall, Muar, on Saturday.
Also present were National Farmers’ Organisation (NAFAS) general manager Muhammad Faris Arriffin, senior NAFAS management representatives, strategic partners, distributors, industry partners, and members of the farming community.
NBKSB is a wholly owned subsidiary of NAFAS.
The guidebook was published through a strategic collaboration with the Faculty of Plantation and Agrotechnology, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Melaka Branch, Jasin Campus, as the academic and technical partner.
Zalifudin said NBKSB also leveraged the festival to introduce its PELADANG fertiliser range, with Nutrient Uptake Enhancer (NUE) technology to improve the efficiency of plant nutrient absorption.
To bring the PELADANG brand closer to the public, NBKSB also offered promotions on selected products and special sales of the guidebook throughout the festival.
He also expressed appreciation to its parent company, NAFAS, particularly the NAFAS Marketing Group, for the opportunity to work together to make the festival and community programme a success.
The Agro MADANI Farmers Festival @ NAFAS Mall, held from May 16 to 17, featured promotional activities, special sales, knowledge-sharing sessions, and interactive community activities.
