Trump Invites Xi Jinping, His Wife, To Visit White House On September 24

BEIJING, May 14 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- United States (US) President Donald Trump on Thursday invited Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife to visit the White House on Sept. 24, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti. 

"Thank you again, President Xi, for this beautiful welcome, and tonight, it is my honour to extend an invitation to you and Madam Peng to visit us at the White House this September 24, and we look forward to it," Trump said during a reception in Beijing.

Trump also called the relationship between the US and China very special and offered a toast to the strong ties between the peoples of the two countries.
