KUALA LUMPUR, May 13 (Bernama) -- CelcomDigi’s net profit rose to RM418 million in the first quarter of financial year ended March 31, 2026 (1Q 2026), compared to RM384 million in 1Q 2025.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing, the mobile network operator said its revenue eased to RM3.208 billion from RM3.209 billion in 1Q FY 2025, due to the decline in prepaid revenue, following its strategic shift away from one-time prepaid SIM acquisitions and device revenue.

The company also declared a fourth interim tax-exempt (single-tier) dividend of 3.6 sen per ordinary share, which has been paid on March 30, 2026.

On prospects, CelcomDigi said the company remain focused on delivering a superior network experience by leveraging its modernised 4G network alongside its access to Digital Nasional Bhd’s (DNB) 5G infrastructure.

“CelcomDigi, together with the other DNB shareholders, are in the process of completing the acquisition of the Ministry of Finance’s shareholding in DNB.

“In addition, DNB has recently been assigned a 15-year spectrum allocation to its shareholders for 200 megahertz (MHz) of F0, F1 and 40 MHz of L1,” it said.

Commenting on the company’s performance, CelcomDigi chief executive officer, Albern Murty said the 1Q performance reflects the telco’s disciplined execution and the strong structural foundations built over the past three years.

“As we enter the next phase of growth, we are sharpening our portfolio to drive higher-quality, sustainable value for the consumer segment through stronger mobile and home and fibre propositions, as well as more personalised, segment-based services that enhance customer experience.

“We continue to focus on a more disciplined, data-driven approach to operational efficiency that will sustain growth and margin,” he said in a statement.
