KUALA LUMPUR, May 12 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has extended assistance and food boxes to chronic kidney disease patient Anuar Hassan in Balok Baru, Kuantan.
The contribution was delivered by the Prime Minister’s political secretary, Datuk Ahmad Farhan Fauzi, during the Indera Mahkota Ziarah MADANI outreach programme.
In a Facebook post also shared by the Prime Minister, Ahmad Farhan said the contribution was intended to help ease the burden borne by Anuar’s family.
Besides suffering from chronic kidney disease, he said Anuar, who lives with his wife and children, also depends on a breathing assistance machine for his daily life.
“I was deeply touched by the resilience shown by him and his family in facing this ordeal,” he said in the post today.
Ahmad Farhan also prayed for Anuar to continue to be granted strength, for his affairs to be eased and for him to be blessed with a good recovery by Allah.
“May the spirit and resilience of this family inspire us all to always help and care for one another,” he said.
