SINGAPORE, May 8 (Bernama) -- Malaysia will continue to enhance tourism cooperation with Singapore to boost regional connectivity and visitor experiences.

Malaysian High Commissioner to Singapore Datuk Azfar Mohamad Mustafar said the government’s decision to continue the Visit Malaysia campaign into 2027 underscores its long-term commitment to developing and strengthening the tourism sector further.

"Our vision is long-term; we want to continue improving connectivity and enhancing visitors’ experiences.

"We want to strengthen tourism cooperation with regional partners, especially with Singapore because when Malaysia prospers, Singapore benefits and when Singapore prospers, Malaysia benefits," he said during the opening of Go Malaysia Fair 2026 at Suntec City on Friday.

The three-day event, held in conjunction with the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) campaign, serves as the ultimate planning hub for the upcoming month-long June school holiday period in Singapore.

During the event, Tourism Malaysia officially launched a strategic collaboration with BusOnlineTicket.com, offering a seamless booking experience for Singapore residents and international tourists alike.

This partnership, which runs from May 8 to August 31, 2026, is specifically designed to streamline the high volume of overland traffic between Singapore and Malaysia.
