China Daily Showcases Anhui’s Blend Of Heritage, Technology In Influencer Tour

KUALA LUMPUR, May 8 (Bernama) -- China Daily reported that Anhui province in eastern China is promoting a blend of traditional culture and modern technology through a curated visit for international influencers.

The delegation, comprising 10 influencers from the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, Mexico and Nigeria, visited Anhui from April 20 to 27, experiencing cultural heritage sites, local industries and technology demonstrations.

In Huangshan, participants visited Tunxi Old Street, where they were introduced to Huizhou cuisine, calligraphy brushes, lacquerware and local inkstones, highlighting the region’s artisanal heritage.

They also travelled to Qimen county to explore Keemun black tea production before taking part in traditional cultural activities such as fish lantern performances in Zhanqi village.

China Daily in a statement said the itinerary also included exposure to emerging technologies, including an artificial intelligence (AI)-based health screening system at Xin’an Wellness Center, where participants tested facial and tongue analysis tools, according to a statement.

In Hefei, the group visited a robotics public service platform showcasing industrial applications such as automated retail and kitchen systems, alongside demonstrations of autonomous transport technologies including pilotless aerial vehicles and self-driving buses.

At Heyi Aviation, participants experienced low-altitude flight technology, including rides in unmanned aerial vehicles, highlighting developments in China’s emerging aviation sector.

The tour concluded in Wuhu, where visitors experienced traditional iron painting techniques and visited automaker Chery Automobile, where smart driving and AI-based mobility systems were demonstrated.

China Daily said the initiative reflects Anhui’s positioning as a province combining cultural heritage with technological innovation and openness to international engagement.
