Fire At Dubai Marina Construction Site Brought Under Control, No Injuries Reported

DUBAI, May 6 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- A fire broke out early Wednesday at an under-construction tower near Al Habtoor Grand in Dubai Marina, the United Arab Emirates, with thick smoke seen rising from the site, Xinhua reported, citing local media.

Dubai Civil Defence said it received a report of the incident at 7.06 am local time (0306 GMT) and immediately dispatched firefighting teams to the scene.

The authority said the blaze was of medium scale and has been brought under control.

No injuries have been reported so far. The site will be handed over to the relevant authorities after cooling operations are completed, in line with standard procedures.
