KUALA LUMPUR, May 3 (Bernama) -- MARA Liner Sdn Bhd has formalised six strategic partnerships, marking a significant milestone in its transformation journey towards a modern, resilient and technology-driven public transport ecosystem.
Chief executive officer Wan Agyl Wan Hassan said the collaborations represent a key step in strengthening MARA Liner’s capabilities across digitalisation, fleet management, sustainability and multimodal mobility.
“As Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) commemorates six decades of nation-building, these strategic partnerships reaffirm MARA Liner’s commitment to delivering forward-looking mobility solutions and contributing to a more connected, efficient and competitive transport ecosystem for Malaysia,” he said in a statement today.
Among the initiatives was the partnership with Berjaya Group’s subsidiary, Berjaya Rail Sdn Bhd.
The collaboration positions MARA Liner within a broader mobility and rail value chain, encompassing fleet leasing structures, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) modernisation, as well as the joint exploration of rolling stock development, including potential local manufacturing.
The other strategic partners include Bateriku (M) Sdn Bhd, KATSANA Holdings Sdn Bhd, Tuxuri Sdn Bhd, Tron Bradbury Energy (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, and Grab Malaysia.
“These collaborations will introduce enhancements such as intelligent fleet management systems, predictive maintenance frameworks, geospatial analytics, electric vehicle ecosystem development, and improved first- and last-mile connectivity solutions,” the bus company said.
The memorandum of understanding exchange ceremony was held in conjunction with MARA’s 60th anniversary celebration today.
