1.INDONESIA ADDS 53 FLIGHT ROUTES TO IMPROVE CONNECTIVITY -- ANTARA

Indonesia’s state-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura (InJourney Airports) is adding 53 flight routes to strengthen national air connectivity and support growth in the transportation and tourism sectors.

 

2.INDONESIA PUSHES CNG AS CHEAPER LPG ALTERNATIVE -- ANTARA

Indonesia is developing compressed natural gas (CNG) in 3‑kilogram cylinders as an alternative to liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia announced.

1.PROTECTING FARMLAND FROM URBANISATION -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR

The government will ensure that town planning does not encroach on agricultural land and that a proper urban planning draft is prepared. It will also ensure the systematic installation of electricity and telecommunication cables in Yangon.

 

2.FRESHWATER SHRIMP FARMING RESUMES -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR

Farmers will resume freshwater shrimp farming this year after it was suspended in 2012 following a disease outbreak. They will begin breeding for the domestic market and exporting any surplus shrimps.

Vietnam’s coffee exports to Thailand rose in the first quarter of this year, rising to 9,900 metric tonnes with exports worth US$80 million (RM318 million). This was driven by growing demand for roasted coffee and processed products.

Authorities are expediting the construction of the Ninh Thuan 1 and 2 nuclear power projects in Khanh Hoa province. Land clearance, payment of compensation and relocation of residents are being carried out.
