Aaron: Newspaper Collection Search Process Shortened, Enhances Service Efficiency

KUALA LUMPUR, April 25 (Bernama) -- The process of searching for newspaper materials in the National Collection has been successfully shortened from three days to one day through the implementation of the National Collection Newspaper Database (PNMNewsHub).

He said the initiative also reduces user costs as there is no need to attend a second time and saves time without having to wait up to three days.

"Additionally, the record of the position and monitoring of reference materials can be identified and recorded systematically," he said in a statement here today.

Aaron said the ministry, through the National Library of Malaysia (PNM), will continue to strengthen the delivery of public services through the PNMNewsHub, which includes monographs, serial publications, as well as electronic and digital resources.

"This effort is in line with the aspirations of Malaysia MADANI in strengthening the culture of knowledge, empowering innovation, and ensuring more efficient and inclusive access to information for the people," according to the statement.
