KUALA LUMPUR, April 21 (Bernama) -- Xsolla, a global video game commerce company, has partnered with De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) in the Philippines to give students access to its global publishing infrastructure following the signing of a memorandum of understanding in Manila.
The partnership centres on the co-development of a Benilde-branded game launcher and distribution platform, where student-developed games can be showcased, published and accessed by a global audience for portfolio development and user feedback.
Xsolla in a statement said it will provide students and faculty with technical training, platform support, and analytics tools to strengthen both curriculum development and commercial readiness.
“What Benilde has built over the past decade is remarkable: a generation of developers with real craft, real ambition, and stories that deserve to be heard beyond their borders. This partnership is about making sure those stories reach the world,” said Xsolla President, Chris Hewish.
The Philippines has emerged as one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing game development markets, with Benilde playing a key role through its Game Design and Development (GDD) degree programme launched in 2009.
The collaboration is expected to strengthen the country’s position in the global gaming industry by linking Benilde’s talent pipeline with Xsolla’s international commerce and distribution network, and opening opportunities for joint research and educational initiatives.
