13/04/2026 06:02 PM

TEHRAN, April 13 (Bernama-dpa) -- Sixty passenger aircraft have been taken out of service in Iran following Israeli-US attacks, the newspaper Shargh reported on Monday, citing the Association of Iranian Airlines, according to German Press Agency (dpa).

Seven airports were targeted in bombings during the war, Shargh reported, citing the association. It was initially unclear whether the aircraft were destroyed or damaged.

The biggest damage was recorded at Mehrabad Airport in Tehran as well as in the north-western metropolis of Tabriz and in the desert city of Kashan, a popular tourist destination. The airlines Mahan Air and Iran Air were particularly affected, the association said.

The warring parties agreed a two-week ceasefire last week. Negotiations on ending the war initially failed over the weekend.
