Anwar Arrives In Pahang To Start One-day Working Visit In Kuantan

KUANTAN, April 3 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today began his one-day working visit to Pahang by performing Friday prayers with the people at the Saidina Umar Al-Khattab Mosque, Cenderawasih here.

His arrival at 1.15 pm with Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail was welcomed by Youth and Sports Minister Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari, Deputy Economy Minister Datuk Mohd Shahar Abdullah and political secretary to the Prime Minister Datuk Ahmad Farhan Fauzi.

Also present was the Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar.

After Friday prayers, Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, is scheduled to visit MADANI Mart at Indera Mahkota before attending the Himpunan Anak Pahang MADANI at UTC Kuantan compound.

The programme is expected to bring together more than 7,000 young people from all over the state.

The Prime Minister will conclude his working visit in the evening by officiating the 2026 PMX Pendekar MADANI Cup Silat Championship at the Pahang Sports Complex (SUKPA).
