KUALA LUMPUR, April 2 (Bernama) -- The Palestinian Ambassador to Malaysia, Jehad Fouad Alqdra, has expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Malaysian government for its continued support, as well as the ongoing efforts of both the government and the Malaysian people in championing the plight of the Palestinian people.
Alqdra conveyed his appreciation during a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan at Wisma Putra on Thursday.
Mohamad shared details of the meeting in a post on Facebook.
“We discussed the current situation in Gaza and recent developments in West Asia, including ongoing efforts towards peace and stability in the region,” he said.
On March 29, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said Egypt had provided assurances and a clear commitment to facilitate the delivery of 374 tonnes of humanitarian aid from Malaysia to Palestinians in Gaza via the Rafah border crossing, beginning this month.
