Fahmi Calls For Greater RTMKlik Promotion

KUALA LUMPUR, April 1 (Bernama) -- Staff of Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) have been urged to promote RTMKlik as the main platform for delivering new digital content, including at the international level, in line with evolving media consumption trends among younger audiences.

Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said plans are currently underway to roll out dedicated content on the platform.

“...all RTM staff should support Broadcasting director-general Ashwad Ismail, in promoting RTMKlik. A variety of new content will be rolled out soon,” he said in his speech at RTM’s 80th anniversary celebration here today.

Also present were Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching, Communications Ministry secretary-general Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah, Ashwad, and Bernama chief executive officer Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin.

Fahmi added that RTM must adapt its content strategy to engage younger generations such as Gen Z and Gen Alpha, who no longer rely solely on traditional platforms.

He said RTM should continue to inform the public while also offering entertainment content to brighten people’s lives amid current challenges.
