KUALA LUMPUR, April 1 (Bernama) -- Integrated Operations Director of the National Financial Crime Prevention Centre (NFCC) at the Prime Minister’s Department, ACP Annas Sulaiman, has been appointed as the new Wangsa Maju District Police Chief, effective today.
He takes over from SAC Mohamad Lazim Ismail, who has been appointed Deputy Director (Strategic Planning) of the Commercial Crime Investigation Department at Bukit Aman.
The rank conferment and handover ceremony took place at the Kuala Lumpur Police Contingent Headquarters here today, witnessed by Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Fadil Marsus.
In his speech, Fadil expressed confidence in Annas’ credibility based on his prior experience.
He said the role of a District Police Chief is not a light responsibility, especially in facing current challenges and increasingly complex crime trends.
Meanwhile, Fadil also expressed his highest appreciation to Mohamad Lazim for his dedicated service and strong commitment during his tenure leading the Wangsa Maju District Police Headquarters.
