KUALA LUMPUR, March 31 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim congratulated all students who achieved excellent results in the 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination, announced today.

Anwar, in a Facebook post, expressed hope that they would continue to move forward with determination and confidence to achieve excellence at higher levels, and in turn contribute to nation-building, grounded in knowledge, values and humanity.

For students who did not perform as well, the Prime Minister advised them not to lose hope, as the journey ahead remains long, and opportunities to rise are always open to those who persevere.

“The national education system is in place to support every step. The future is not determined by a single result, but by the determination to keep moving forward and succeed,” said Anwar.

The SPM 2025 results recorded improved performance, with a National Average Grade (GPK) of 4.42, compared with 4.49 in 2024.

Education director-general Datuk Dr Mohd Azam Ahmad reportedly said that a total of 13,779 candidates achieved excellent results - A+, A and A− in all subjects - in 2025, marking an increase of 3.55 per cent, compared with 13,827 candidates in 2024.
