IPOH, March 29 (Bernama) -- The current water level at Bukit Merah Dam is at Critical Irrigation Level 1, measuring 6.965 metres, compared with the alert level of 7.62 metres.
The Kerian District Drainage and Irrigation Department (DID) posted on Facebook that the dam’s irrigation storage currently stands at 18.6958 million cubic metres as of yesterday.
“Farmers are advised to use water wisely and practise conservation at all times,” the statement read.
Under standard operating procedures, the normal irrigation supply level is 8.69 m.
