KUALA LUMPUR, March 16 (Bernama) -- Malaysians have been urged to uphold harmony and unity, which are seen as the nation’s cornerstones, especially as the world faces challenges that could threaten social cohesion.

National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang called on Malaysians not to let sensitive issues involving religion, race, or the monarchy, including racist sentiments, undermine long-standing social ties.

He said that while dialogue and negotiation tables are always open for differing views, they must be approached with wisdom and maturity, not emotion.

“Malaysia is strong because of its diversity. We are stronger when we stand together to understand, respect, accept, and celebrate the differences that make our country truly unique.

“Let’s choose wisdom, reject hatred, and keep nurturing our spirit of togetherness. Malaysia is our shared home, one we build, protect, and pass on to future generations,” he said in a Facebook post.
