Drone Attacks Target Sites In Iraq's Erbil Region

ISTANBUL, March 13  (Bernama-Anadolu) -- Several drones targeted sites in Iraq’s northern Erbil region Friday, including the Lanaz Refinery, a facility involved in oil production and distribution, Anadolu Ajansi reported.

Air defences were activated in parts of the city, while security forces took measures to deal with the aerial threats. 

There were no confirmed reports of casualties following the attacks. 

Erbil is considered an important hub in Iraq and hosts vital facilities as well as sites used by foreign missions and international forces. 

The attacks come amid rising security tensions in the region, with an increase in missile and drone strikes targeting military and strategic sites across several Middle Eastern countries.
