SEREMBAN, March 1 (Bernama) -- Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil (SJKT) Rantau) has achieved recognition from the Malaysia Book of Records (MBR) for installing the highest number of smart interactive boards in a Tamil school.

A total of 14 units of 75-inch smart interactive panels have been installed in all classrooms to enhance digital education among 300 pupils, including preschoolers. The initiative was made possible through the efforts of Linsun Engineering Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk M. Natarajen and operations director Datuk M. Satishkumar.

Former senator Datuk T. Mohan said the initiative was not merely an addition of facilities, but a transformative step to elevate the school’s education standards.

“Thank you to the two brothers, Natarajen and Satishkumar, who are also former pupils of this school. Their career success and willingness to give back to the school should serve as an example to the current generation of students.

“I hope all students will fully utilise this technology to improve their academic performance and achieve greater success in the future,” he told Bernama here today.

Also present at the event were MBR representative Edwin Yeoh Tiong Chin, SJKT Rantau headmistress Mageswary Kesavan, Parent-Teacher Association members and the school’s pupils.

Mageswary said the contribution would serve as a catalyst in efforts to strengthen technology-based learning at the school.

“I believe the school will continue to lead in excellence in the future, as the facilities provided are comprehensive and add value to the teaching and learning process,” she said.

She added that the teachers at the school are also skilled in handling digital technology, enabling learning sessions to be conducted in a more interactive, systematic and effective manner.

She said the initiative is also in line with the decision by the Ministry of Education to introduce the ‘Alam dan Manusia’ (Nature and Humanity) subject based on digital elements starting in 2027, marking an important step towards producing a digitally literate and competent generation of students.
