CAIRO, Feb 28 (Reuters) -- The UK Maritime Trade Operations agency said on Saturday that it received multiple reports from vessels operating in the Gulf saying they had received messages on the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
There was no immediate confirmation from Iran.
The strait is the world's most vital oil export route and connects the biggest Gulf oil producers, such as Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq and the United Arab Emirates, with the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea.
