Mydin Opens 75th Branch In Bagan Datuk

BAGAN DATUK, Feb 27 (Bernama) -- Wholesaler and retailer Mydin Mohamed Holdings Bhd (Mydin) has expanded its market presence with the opening of its 75th branch nationwide, Mydin Mart Bagan Datuk, at an investment of RM1 million.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who is the Member of Parliament for Bagan Datuk, officiated at the opening ceremony.

Mydin managing director Datuk Ameer Ali Mydin said Tri Shaas Sdn Bhd will manage the 7,000 sq ft branch, which will offer a large variety of daily necessities.

Its opening will ensure consumers have access to quality goods at affordable prices, he said.

“Mydin remains committed to ensuring that communities, especially in rural areas, can enjoy products at wholesale prices,” he said in his speech at the branch’s opening today.

Its presence will also create job opportunities for the local community and provide opportunities for local entrepreneurs and suppliers to grow alongside the brand.

Kotak SARA RAHMAH were distributed to 50 recipients through its Mydin Prihatin initiative at today’s opening ceremony.

Products were also sold at promotional prices as a token of appreciation for the community’s continued support, including whole chicken at RM1, limited to 100 birds per day, yellow noodles at 10 sen, and potatoes at 99 sen per kilogramme (kg) limited to 2 kg per customer, along with special discounts on selected groceries and daily essentials.
