Fortrea Expands Executive Team For Clinical Development, Deepens Client Partnerships

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 23 (Bernama) -- Fortrea, a global contract research organisation (CRO), has strengthened its executive leadership with Oren Cohen and Scott Dove.

Cohen, who previously served as both Fortrea’s Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and President of Clinical Pharmacology Services (CPS), will now focus exclusively on his CMO responsibilities, overseeing medical strategy, scientific leadership, and governance across Fortrea’s portfolio.

Meanwhile, Dove joins Fortrea as the new President of CPS, responsible for the company’s early clinical development solutions across its global network of clinical research units. Both Cohen and Dove will serve on Fortrea’s Executive Committee.

Fortrea Chief Executive Officer, Anshul Thakral said the addition of Dove to the Fortrea team while Cohen becomes fully dedicated to the medical and scientific aspects of development is a win for clients.

“Oren will deepen his relationships with clients across all phases of clinical development, while Scott is making a fast start with our Clinical Pharmacology team and getting a first-hand view of our world-class clinics,” added Thakral in a statement.

A veteran of drug development, Cohen brings over 20 years of experience in executive medical and scientific leadership roles in the pharmaceutical industry. Before joining Fortrea, he served as CMO and head of Clinical Pharmacology Services at Labcorp Drug Development.

He holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Duke University and completed a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, where he also served as Principal Investigator and assistant director for medical affairs.

Meanwhile, Dove brings more than 25 years of experience across pharma, biotech, and CRO companies in leadership roles. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Aravive, leading research and development operations for a clinical-stage, oncology-focused biotech.
