5.9-Magnitude Quake Hits Papua New Guinea Region -- GFZ

HONG KONG, Feb 21 (Berama-Xinhua) — An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 jolted Papua New Guinea Region at 0618 GMT on Saturday, according to the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences, reported Xinhua.

The epicentre, with a depth of 10 kilometres, was initially determined to be at 5.34 degrees south latitude and 145.75 degrees east longitude.
