LONDON, Feb 20 (Bernama-PA Media/dpa) -- Coco Gauff hit form to reach the semi-finals of the Dubai Championships on Thursday, reported PA Media/dpa.
The third seed has struggled with her game but dominated against crowd favourite Alexandra Eala from the Philippines, winning 6-0, 6-2.
Gauff will next bid for revenge against Elina Svitolina, who she lost to heavily in the Australian Open quarterfinals, after the Ukrainian ended the run of lucky loser Antonia Ruzic with a 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 comeback victory.
The other semi-final will also be a rematch of a Melbourne last-eight clash, with American duo Jessica Pegula and Amanda Anisimova facing off.
Pegula saw off Clara Tauson 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 while Anisimova battled to a 2-6, 7-5, 7-6 (7-4) win against defending champion Mirra Andreeva, who broke down in tears at the end.
