WASHINGTON, Feb 19  (Bernama-SPA) -- Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Dr Abdulaziz Alwasil reaffirmed the Kingdom’s unwavering support for Palestinian rights during a Security Council ministerial session on the Middle East.

Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that he condemned the Israeli authorities' designation of West Bank lands as "state land" as a grave violation of international law and reiterated that Israel holds no sovereignty over occupied Palestinian territories.

Stressing the necessity of a two-state solution based on the 1967 borders, Alwasil also called for the protection of humanitarian organisations to ensure unimpeded aid access during Ramadan.

He highlighted the Kingdom’s participation in the Feb 19 peace council meeting, emphasising the need for a unified Palestinian territory and an immediate end to the war in Gaza.
